1. _I_n_t_r_o_d_u_c_t_i_o_n
This release note documents the Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.01
for Irix 6.5. This product allows users to view, distribute
and print, documents in Portable Document Format (PDF) -
regardless of the computer operating system, fonts, or
application used to create the original file.
This product has been packaged to work in conjunction with
Netscape Navigator 1.0S or later version, through a
modification of the configuration files _m_i_m_e._t_y_p_e_s and
_m_a_i_l_c_a_p which allow Netscape to automatically launch the
Acrobat Reader when it attempts to read a file in PDF
format.
Note: Upon first launch, the Acrobat Reader presents a
Software License Agreement to you the end user. This
software is provided to you solely under the terms
and conditions of this Software License Agreement.

1.2 _O_n_l_i_n_e__R_e_l_e_a_s_e__N_o_t_e_s
After you install the online release notes for a product
(the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s subsystem), you can view the release notes on
your screen.

If you have a graphics system, select ``Release Notes'' from
the Help submenu of the Toolchest. This displays the
_g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) graphical browser for the online release notes.
Refer to the _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) reference page for information on
options to this command.
If you do not have a graphics system, you can use the
_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s command. Refer to the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) reference page
for accessing the online release notes.
1.3 _P_r_o_d_u_c_t__S_u_p_p_o_r_t
Product support for the Adobe Acrobat Reader is split
between Silicon Graphics, Inc. and Adobe Systems
Incorporated. Silicon Graphics, Inc., provides a
comprehensive product support maintenance program for the
installation for this product. Adobe System Incorporated
provides product level support as specified by the Acrobat
Reader end user software license agreement.
